Matthew G. Grantham was born at a Naval hospital near Portsmouth, Virginia. He moved to Huntington from South Bend after graduating from Notre Dame Law School in 2005. He joined the firm of Bowers, Brewer, Garrett & Wiley in the fall of 2005 and became a partner in 2010. He has served as a public defender in Huntington County since 2008 and has participated in a variety of cases in Indiana and federal courts, including the Indiana Supreme Court and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has served as Wells County Public Defender since 2012. He volunteers his time as a pro bono attorney and serves his community and profession on several boards, including the Huntington County Free Health Clinic Board, where he has acted as President beginning in 2012. He is a member of the Huntington County and Indiana State Bar Associations, where he serves in the Appellate Practice Section. In addition to criminal defense, he practices appeals, personal injury, commerical and civil litigation, bankruptcy, family law, adoption, guardianships, estate planning, and estate administration.
